[ENGLISH VERSION]
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Flamencamiento Global Trio was born from the meeting of three musicians from different backgrounds, united around a single musical language: flamenco. Drawing on the original compositions of guitarist Yannick Corre, the trio explores a musical space where the freedom of jazz, the colors of Latin jazz, the poetry of Cuban trova, and the popular rhythms of Latin America intersect. Yannick Corre even takes up the Cuban tres, Cuba’s national instrument, to make it sound por bulería with flamenco rasgueos, creating a true bridge between traditions. To bring this dialogue between traditions to life, the guitarist is joined by a Cuban double bassist rooted in trova and Latin jazz, a Venezuelan percussionist specializing in traditional music, and a French guitarist trained in classical piano. From this meeting emerges a free and cross-cultural music that departs from the codes of traditional flamenco to explore an original musical space, between flamenco, jazz, and world music.
The name Flamencamiento Global echoes the Spanish expression calentamiento global (“global warming”). Here, anything can become flamenco: a Cuban double bassist rooted in trova and Latin jazz, a Venezuelan percussionist specializing in traditional music, or a French guitarist trained in classical piano. This new project invites audiences to share an authentic musical journey, guided by the sensitivity and passion of the musicians.
ABOUT THE MUSICIANS

Yannick Corre is a highly talented guitarist, composer, producer, and musical director who has won multiple international awards. From an early age, he showed a special interest in music and began studying it at the age of four, starting with the piano. After living for more than fifteen years in the iconic city of Seville, he decided to settle in Madrid, a city that offers him a different cultural landscape and new musical opportunities. In Seville, he trained with renowned flamenco masters such as Dani de Morón, Miguel Ángel Cortés, Rafael Riqueni, Jesús Guerrero, Pedro Sierra, Paco Cortés, Niño de Pura, and Manolo Franco. In 2011, he was awarded a scholarship by the Cristina Heeren Foundation of Flamenco Art in Seville. In 2017, he graduated with honors from the Rafael Orozco Superior Conservatory of Music in Córdoba. In recent years, Yannick has multiplied his fusion and experimentation projects, enriching himself through contact with artists from all backgrounds. He has recorded on numerous albums, produced some of them, and composed music for various dance projects. His creativity, methodology, and musical knowledge have made this guitarist an increasingly sou- ght-after artist, both as a producer, arranger, composer, and musical director. Throughout his career, he has worked with artists such as Andrés Marín, Adela Campallo, El Oruco, José Manuel Álvarez, El Londro, Paquito González, Ramón Porrina, Matías López “El Mati”, Karime Amaya, and Ezequiel Montoya. In parallel, Yannick has embarked on a more personal project: the creation of his first solo album, “Diégesis,” which was released in the fall of 2022. This self-produced album features ten flamenco guitar compositions, where one can appreciate the richness and originality of this versatile musician’s sound universe.
Gastón Joya is one of the leading double bas- sists on the contemporary Cuban music scene, known for his ability to move effortlessly between classical and popular styles. Born in Guanabacoa, Havana, he began playing the double bass inspired by his father and further developed his techni- que under the guidance of maestro Orlando “Cachaito” López. He has contributed as a performer, composer, arranger, and producer to numerous recor- dings and has shared the stage with renowned artists and ensembles, including Omara Portuondo, Chucho Valdés, Leo Brouwer, Paquito D’Rivera, Joe Lovano, the Buena Vista Social Club Orchestra, Eliades Ochoa, Síntesis, Mark Levine, Wynton Marsalis, and Sting, among many others. His work has helped establish the double bass as a prominent instrument in Cuban music.
Julio Alcocer, born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1986, is a versatile percussionist specializing in Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Venezuelan, and African rhythms. He combines deep expertise in Latin percussion with extensive experience in flamenco, having accompanied leading artists and companies across Venezuela, Spain, and internationally. He has collaborated with flamenco masters such as Paco Peña, Dani de Morón, Ángeles Toledano, Eliecer “La Truco”, Daniela Tugues, Antonio Canales, and Carmen Garza, performing at prestigious festivals including the Festival de Jerez and venues in Madrid and Quito. Since 2019, he has participated in major dance productions by Carlos Romero, Tania Martín, and Carlos Rodríguez, including Eterno, Eterno Picasso (2023), and Hilos de fuego (2025). Julio also founded the Afro-Latin band El Guateque and works as a producer and recording musician for national and international artists. He has been recognized for his contributions to flamenco and Latin percussion with multiple awards, highlighting his mastery of rhythm and versatility across Afro-Caribbean, African, and flamenco styles.
