Tveggja daga flamenco-dansnámskeið með Ann Sehlstedt “La Pantera” – Fyrsta skipti á Íslandi!

 Komdu og uppgötvaðu fegurðina, tjáningarkraftinn og styrkinn sem flamenco hefur upp á bjóða á þessu tveggja daga námskeiði undir handleiðslu Ann Sehlstedt frá Svíþjóð, sem er að koma í fyrsta skipti til Íslands!

Á þessu námskeiði verður kynning á þessu kraftmikla listformi frá Spáni, sem einkennist af ríkulegri blöndu dans, tónlistar, tjáningar og taktanna. Við fáum að kynnast grunnatriðum compás (taktur), marcájes (taktskref), bracéo (handahreyfingar) og zapateo (fótavinna) og lærum stutta dansrútínu í Tangos-de Granada stíl, sem er léttleikandi og skemmtilegur stíll.

Námskeiðið hentar byrjendum jafnt sem lengra komnum og við hvetjum alla til að mæta sem hafa áhuga á flamenco óháð kyni, aldri eða líkamsbyggingu!

Meira um Ann Sehlsted:

Ann hóf feril sinn snemma og hefur starfað sem sjálfstætt starfandi flamencodansari í yfir 20 ár. Hún rekur eigin dansskóla, Centro de Flamenco La Pantera, í Gautaborg. Verk hennar hafa þó verið sýnd bæði víða um Svíþjóð og á alþjóðavísu. Meðal athyglisverðra afreka má nefna boð um að dansa með virta danshópnum NBE á Spáni, þriðja sæti í Certamen de Madrid (með danshópnum Compañía Kaari Martin), störf við Óperuna í Ósló (sem dansari, dansstjóri og aðstoðardanshöfundur) í óperunni Carmen, rekstur eigin danshóps Danza Flamenca, og hlutverk sem dansari og lófaklappari í hljómsveit gítarleikarans og tónskáldsins Robi Svärd.

Hún er eftirsóttur dansari og kennari, framleiðir eigin sýningar og tekur þátt í verkefnum annarra. Nýjasta sýning hennar, CONNECTED, er sambland af flamenco- og nútímadansi þar sem hún dansar ásamt nútímadansaranum Ángel Gutiérrez. Þau hafa fram að þessu sýnt verkið bæði í Svíþjóð og á Spáni og fengið hlý viðbrögð frá bæði áhorfendum og gagnrýnendum.

A two-day flamenco-dance workshop with Ann Sehlstedt “La Pantera” - first time in Iceland!

 Come and discover the beauty, expressiveness and strength of flamenco during this two day long intensive workshop under the guidance of the acclaimed flamenco dancer, choreographer and teacher Ann Sehlstedt (SE).

This workshop will be an introduction to this powerful artform from Spain with its richness in dance, music, expression and rhythms where you as a participant will get to know the basics of compás (rhythm), marcájes (marking steps), bracéo (for the flamenco very specific arm and hand movement) and zapateo (footwork). You will also get to dive in to the groovy palo (style) Tangos de Granada, which will be a shorter choreography we will work on in class.

This workshop suits beginners in flamenco as well as those with some experience with flamenco and in general everybody who are interested in learning more about flamenco. Flamenco is a dance style that suits all genders, all ages and all sizes!

More about Ann Sehlsted:

Ann started her career at a young age and has been working as a freelancing flamenco dancer for over 20 years now. She is running her own school Centro de Flamenco La Pantera in Gothenburg where she also has her base. However, her work is seen both nationwide as well as internationally. Some noteworthy achievements are; invitation to dance with esteemed dance company NBE in Spain, receiving a third prize in Certamen de Madrid (dancing with Compañía Kaari Martin), has been working at the Opera in Oslo (as a dancer, dance captain and choreograph assistant) in the opera Carmen, been running her own company Danza Flamenca and is a dancer and palmera in the ensemble of guitarist and composer Robi Svärd. She is a sought after dancer and teacher and is also producing her own performances and participating in other´s. Her latest production CONNECTED, is a hybrid between flamenco and modern dance where she´s dancing alongside contemporary dancer Angel Gutierrrez. They have so far performed in Sweden and Spain with warm response from both the audience and critics.
